Approaching our 40s, my partner and I sought an adrenaline-fueled escape to make the most of the summer sun, leading us to the dynamic town of Lincoln, New Hampshire. Embarking on a series of spontaneous short getaways with my loved one has been an exhilarating journey filled with adventure, laughter, and unforgettable experiences. When I was asked about what made me reflect fondly on my recent traveling and why I enjoyed it so much, I realized before committing time for vacations, I was much like a cat going to the vet…all four legs out…fighting to not go in that cage for the trip!

New England is home to some of the best beers around, especially if you like IPA. Head in either direction from Ogunquit and you’ll hit several local breweries, distilleries, and even wineries. Bottoms up!  

Historic Portsmouth is a charming small New England city that you don’t want to miss. Spend a day strolling its cobblestone streets, browsing the many boutiques, and enjoying all the delicious food. If you’re up for a little learning about the local history and culture on your vacation, Portsmouth is also home to several outstanding museums.
