Embarking on a series of spontaneous short getaways with my loved one has been an exhilarating journey filled with adventure, laughter, and unforgettable experiences. These impromptu escapes, fueled by spontaneity and a sense of wanderlust, have become cherished moments in our relationship, allowing us to explore new destinations, create lasting memories, and strengthen our bond in unexpected ways.
When I was asked about what made me reflect fondly on my recent traveling and why I enjoyed it so much, I realized before committing time for vacations, I was much like a cat going to the vet…all four legs out…fighting to not go in that cage for the trip!
Now, with the luxury of a lot of great memories, I can say that these things really stand out to me:

New England is home to some of the best beers around, especially if you like IPA. Head in either direction from Ogunquit and you’ll hit several local breweries, distilleries, and even wineries. Bottoms up!

Historic Portsmouth is a charming small New England city that you don’t want to miss. Spend a day strolling its cobblestone streets, browsing the many boutiques, and enjoying all the delicious food. If you’re up for a little learning about the local history and culture on your vacation, Portsmouth is also home to several outstanding museums.
