Our Relaxing and Rejuvenating Weekend at InnSeason Resorts Surfside in Falmouth, Massachusetts
My husband and I yearned for a peaceful escape to unwind and recharge during the winter months. InnSeason Resorts Surfside in Falmouth, Massachusetts, proved to be the perfect sanctuary for our relaxing and rejuvenating winter weekend.
Arriving on a serene Friday evening, the coastal charm of Falmouth and the cozy ambiance of InnSeason Resorts Surfside instantly enveloped us in a tranquil atmosphere. The anticipation of a winter escape by the sea and the soothing sound of ocean waves provided an immediate sense of relaxation.
Our accommodation at the resort was a spacious and nicely appointed studio unit, offering panoramic views of the beach and Nantucket Sound and Marth’s Vinyard beyond. The calming coastal decor and the thoughtful amenities set the stage for a weekend of restful bliss.
Saturday morning began with a leisurely stroll along the snow-kissed shoreline. The peaceful solitude, broken only by the rhythmic crash of waves against the frozen shore, created a serene setting for quiet contemplation and connection. The brisk winter air invigorated our senses as we reveled in the natural beauty of the coastal landscape.
Eager to fully embrace the tranquility, we spent the afternoon at Bellezza Salon Medspa, a nearby spa, indulging in rejuvenating treatments that left us feeling refreshed and renewed. The skilled therapists and the serene atmosphere provided the perfect escape from the stresses of everyday life, setting the tone for a truly rejuvenating experience. We sure needed that!
In the afternoon, we explored the charming town center of Falmouth, adorned with winter decorations and festive lights. The quaint boutiques and local cafes exuded a cozy charm, inviting us to leisurely browse and enjoy a delightful lunch at local favorite, The Quarter Deck Restaurant. There is nothing like fresh Seafood! The unhurried pace of winter in Falmouth allowed us to savor the simple joys of the season. Falmouth truly is a vibrant year-round community with lots to offer.
As the sun began to set, we returned to the resort to make the most of its amenities. A dip in the heated pool and a relaxing session in the hot tub offered a perfect setting for unwinding and enjoying each other's company.
Dinner was a delightful affair at Eli’s Tavern, a living record of the history and heritage of The Coonamessett Inn, a Cape Cod tradition. This is a close by, warm and charming restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. There we enjoyed the Seafood Pot Pie and Pan-Roasted Cod, as well as lots of local charm. Oh, and can you say Chocolate Martini? So good!
Sunday morning called for one last burst of energy before bidding farewell to Falmouth. To fuel up, we went to the classic Betsy’s Diner for lots of great home cooked dishes. Then it was a short scenic drive along the beautiful coast to the iconic Nobska Lighthouse, its white structure standing against the blue sky, providing a picturesque conclusion to our lively weekend.
As the weather was good, the resort recommended stopping to check out “The Knob” on our way home. This uniquely shaped peninsula offers stunning views of Quissett Harbor and Buzzards Bay after a short hike through a peaceful wooded area called the Cornelia Carey Sanctuary. Absolutely beautiful.

As we continued our journey off-Cape, we chose to take the back roads to the Bourne Bridge, enjoying a scenic cruise through Sippewisset, North Falmouth, Pocasset and finally to Bourne. This route was so picturesque, with lots of harbor and marsh views along the way. Before leaving the Cape we had to spot at the Lobster Trap in Bourne for lunch…so good!
Our winter escape at InnSeason Resorts Surfside in Falmouth, Massachusetts, was a perfect blend of coastal serenity and winter tranquility. The resort's ideal location, combined with the serene winter activities, provided an idyllic setting for a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend. As we left the coastal haven, we carried with us a deep sense of calm, cherished moments, and the revitalizing energy of a winter weekend spent by the Atlantic.
